Some wine dinners are formal affairs—but not this one. On Tuesday, March 12th, Chef Sophia and Wine Director Zach are throwing a dinner party, and you’re invited. This isn’t about stuffy pairings or scripted presentations—it’s about great food, great wine, and a relaxed, fun night at the table. Sophia has created a killer menu, and Zach has handpicked the wines to match. Expect a night of unexpected flavors, easy conversation, and seriously good pairings. No pretension, just excellent food and wine, served with a side of good times.
Here’s what’s on the table: We’re starting with tuna tartare—bright, fresh, and balanced with guava custard, kiwi, dragonfruit, and pistachio, paired with the crisp Oenops “Apla” Rosé from Greece (2022). Next, a luxurious crab cavatelli with sweet corn, shellfish cream, cherry tomato, white asparagus, and ramps, matched with the 2022 Eric Kent “Appellation Series” Chardonnay from Sonoma Coast. The third course brings roasted quail with fig, polenta, and pomegranate, paired with the bold, fruit-forward Franschhoek Cellars “Stone Bridge” Pinotage (2021) from South Africa. And for the grand finale: a lamb duo—tender lamb loin with smoked onion and marsala cream, zucchini rouleaux, plus rich, slow-cooked lamb neck with Calabrian chili, served alongside the elegant 2018 Withers “Estate” Grenache from El Dorado, California. Come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready for a great night.
