First up… Euskadi (Basque Country) in Northern Spain
Join us on Wednesday, 01 July 2026, as we journey to one of Europe's most ancient and enigmatic corners — the Basque Country, a land so old its very origins defy explanation. The Basques are Europe's oldest indigenous people; their language, Euskara, stands entirely alone — unrelated to any other tongue on Earth, a living whisper from a world before history was written. For millennia, these fiercely proud people have forged a culture unlike any other, nestled between the Pyrenees and the Bay of Biscay.
Fermented beverages (local sidra, alongside a vibrant array of indigenous wine varieties) have been a part of the Basque culture through their entire history. Deeply traditional and delightfully approachable, beverage culture here is part past-time and part ethnic pride.
To drink these wines is to touch something rare: a people and a place that time, somehow, never quite conquered.
Ongi etorri — welcome.
