People & Places Wine Dinner Series: Massaya Vineyards with Sami Ghosn

  • The Dining Room at The Supper Club 2355 Vanderbilt Beach Road Naples, FL, 34109 United States (map)

Our most preeminent wine dinner series returns this Spring — join us every Wednesday for a new, unique, and intimate wine dinner featuring in-depth conversations with those who pour their heart and soul into winemaking around the world.

Join us for a memorable evening celebrating the rich heritage and refined craftsmanship of Massaya Vineyards. Nestled in Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, Massaya is renowned for producing expressive, terroir-driven wines that beautifully balance Old World tradition with modern elegance.

We invite you to join us for one of the most exciting wine dinners of our season as we welcome pioneering winemaker and owner Sami Ghosn for an exclusive wine dinner featuring his family’s Massaya Vineyards.

The name Massaya stands for twilight in Lebanese, given that at the specific moment the sun sets behind Mount Lebanon the sky of the Beqaa turns dark blue with a hue similar to the blue bottle of arak. The success of the Arak was stunning, and this launched the inspiration for joining forces with the French family behind Vieux Telegraphe into a partnership in the new, modern vineyards and winery.

You have to understand that in 1997 only a few historical wineries were in control of all the wine production in Lebanon and no one challenged these household staple brands, but the Ghosns and the French partners believed they could join this small wine market on the condition that Massaya focus on quality and keep the size of the winery and vineyards human. So in 1998, the first new generation winery was launched that marked the renaissance of winemaking in Lebanon. From just four wineries in 1998, now Lebanon has more than 45 wineries.

This exclusive wine dinner invites you to explore a curated selection of Massaya’s finest vintages, each thoughtfully paired with a multi-course menu designed to complement and elevate every glass. From the historical legacy of spiritous Arak to complex reds, each pour tells a story of sun-soaked vineyards, high-altitude freshness, and meticulous winemaking.
