PLEASE NOTE: THIS DINNER WILL BE HOSTED AT THE SUPPER CLUB ON DAVIS.
Join us in welcoming Ethan Glago, Director of Sales & Marketing for Ehret Winery — a dazzling estate in Knights Valley, California — for an intimate and exclusive wine dinner.
Pierre Ehret is an avid motor sports racer and has competed in more than 100 races in both Europe and the U.S. Pierre was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. It is this connection along with his business interests on both sides of the Atlantic that allowed him to develop an appreciation and understanding of fine wines, both domestic and European. In 1996, Pierre established Bavarian Lion Vineyards in Knights Valley.
Pierre and his wife, Susan, have three children: Alex, Christian, and Isabella. All were born in Sonoma County, California but were raised bi-culturally with a strong European heritage. The family has lived and traveled throughout Europe with their children and have gained a great love and appreciation for fine wine and traditionally inspired food.
That love for family, travel, fine wine, and food continue to inspire the dedication and development of the winery.
The Ehret family estate, Bavarian Lion Vineyards, is located in Knights Valley, Northern Sonoma County. They have been farming top quality Bordeaux varietals since 1996, selling much of their fruit to prestigious wineries in the Napa Valley. In 2005, they decided to reserve their highest quality grapes for their own brand, Ehret.
All of their certified sustainable vineyard practices involve a minimalist approach. Grapes are planted to just under 1/3 of the entire ranch holdings, leaving over half the ranch as natural wilderness for wildlife and insects. At Ehret, they believe in cultivating flowers and plants that attract beneficial insects and planting cover crops to replenish the soil’s nutrients.
This ecologically comprehensive approach to crafting great wine starts in the vineyards. All of the vineyards at Ehret are water-efficient by recycling rainwater to irrigate the vines. No well water or on stream diversions are used for vineyard irrigation. In addition, their vineyards are also completely off the electrical grid, as electrical power is supplied by solar panels on the vineyard ranch.
Join us on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 as we journey together through the glass to discover the passion and artistry of the Ehret Family Winery.
Our guest host for the evening will be Ethan Glago, Ehret’s Director of Sales & Marketing.
